Public Hospital District
Public Hospital District No. 2, Snohomish County, also known as the Verdant Health Commission and has a long history of supporting the health of the residents in South Snohomish County.
The hospital district formed in 1962, opened Stevens Hospital in 1964, and operated the hospital until September 1, 2010, when the facility, land, and major medical equipment was leased to Swedish Health Services, which now oversees the daily operations of the hospital. Commissioners
The five members of the Board of Commissioners are elected by the voters in the hospital district and govern the Verdant Health Commission.

Purchasing and Public Works Projects
Verdant uses the roster maintained by MRSC to respond to small public works needs. MRSC Rosters is a service that provides a membership database used by Verdant and other participating Washington public agencies to contract with registered businesses about small public works construction projects, consulting opportunities, and contracting of goods or services. Interested vendors can visit the MRSC website and click on Business Membership.
